The tour starts at Kyoto Station and take a city bus to our first stop Kiyomizudera Temple which is best known for its wooden stage that juts out from the main hall stands on the hill. The stage offers a stunning panoramic view of Kyoto City. If you are interested in architectures, a wooden structure without nails supporting the stage must catch your eyes. At the Otawa Waterfall, visitors can drink the sacred water from the three separate streams to get benefits such as bringing success, love and good health. After you left the temple. you can enjoy a nice walk in the surroundings. There are a variety of traditional shops selling Kyoto's local specialties such as pottery, sweets and crafts. While you are walking through narrow lanes, you will find photogenic views of traditional city such as Yasaka Pagoda. Our next stop is Kenninji Temple which is the oldest zen temple in Japan. The temple has three amazing zen dry gardens. When you sit in the room and view the garden, you can forget daily life being surrounded with the peace and quiet. You will enjoy outstanding artworks on the paper screen and ceiling. The painting on the paper screen is entitled "Fujin Raijin (WInd God and Thunder God) " by Tawaraya Sotatsu is the most famous treasure of the temple. Our tour will continue to Gion District where Geisha live and work. Our tour guide will tell you about Geisha and their "then and now" during a enjoyable walk. Afterwards, we will head back to Kyoto Station.
